First Ever Long Island Residential Real Estate Conference to Take Place on Oct. 19, 2006
Conference Will Offer Information and Education in One Dynamic Day of Panels and Special Events
A new, one-day real estate conference called "Real Estate Next: Key Trends in Residential Real Estate and What You Need to Know About the Changing Market on Long Island" is set to take place on Oct. 19, 2006 at the Long Island Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Uniondale, N.Y.
The conference -- the first of its kind ever on Long Island -- will offer an information-packed day of education, debate, discussion of new trends, and networking opportunities. The 17 panels will offer discussion of diverse topics such as making affordable housing a reality, home financing of the future, the housing bubble, the future of marketing in residential real estate, trends in senior living communities, challenges of relocating employees, revitalizing suburban downtowns, serving the luxury home market, and the future of suburban residential development.
The panels will include nearly 100 of the local real estate market's most influential real estate agents, mortgage brokers, bankers, developers, architects, political leaders, designers, academics, housing advocates, and attorneys. They include Dr. Pearl Kamer, chief economist with the Long Island Association; Frank Petrone, town supervisor for the Town of Huntington; Marshall Tracht, vice dean for the Hofstra University Law School; Peter Elkowitz Jr., president and chief executive officer of the Long Island Housing Partnership Inc.; Dottie Herman, president and chief executive officer of Prudential Douglas Elliman; Henry and Carolyn Weber, president and vice president, respectively, of RE/MAX of New York; James Retz, senior vice president of marketing and technology at Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty; appraiser Jonathan Miller of Miller Samuel Associates; and Ronald Stein, president of Vision Long Island.
"I'm thrilled to be a part of Real Estate Next," says Kamer, who will be a member of the panel that addresses affordable housing. "This conference offers local real estate professionals a unique opportunity to learn about the changing market."
Real Estate Next is being co-produced by Long Island real estate experts Ron Roel and Laura Koss-Feder.
