Tishman Speyer wins the bid for the west side rail yards

Tishman Speyer, who owns Manhattan's Rockefeller Center and the Chrysler Building, won the bid to deveolp the west side rail yards. They bid just over $1 billion for the rights to develop skyscrapers for offices, apartments and skyscrappers. Seems there is no slow down in the NYC real estate market, eh?
